Upcoming IB Summer Intern Interview - What to Expect and How to Prepare?

Hey everyone! I’ve got my investment banking summer internship interview coming up this week and I’m honestly pretty nervous about it. The interview is going to be conducted over video call which adds another layer of stress for me.

I’m wondering what kind of preparation I should focus on in these final days. Should I expect them to ask technical finance questions during this initial round, or will it be more behavioral focused? I’ve been studying basic valuation methods and financial modeling but I’m not sure if that’s overkill for a first interview.

What types of questions do they typically ask during these early stage interviews? Are there specific topics I should review or practice explaining? Any tips on how to make a good impression during a virtual interview would be really helpful too.

I really want to nail this opportunity so any guidance from people who have been through this process would be amazing. Thanks for any help you can provide!
