Hi everyone! I have my first round interview with Bain coming up and I’m really looking for someone to do mock case studies with. I think practicing with another person would be way more helpful than just doing cases on my own.
I’m hoping to find someone who is also preparing for consulting interviews or has experience with case studies. We could take turns being the interviewer and candidate to get practice from both sides. I’m pretty flexible with timing and we could meet virtually.
If anyone is interested in partnering up for case practice sessions, please let me know. I think it would be really beneficial for both of us to get some realistic practice before the actual interviews. Thanks!
Did McKinsey interviews last year! Found my practice partner on a consulting prep Discord - total game-changer. We did cases twice weekly for a month straight. Recording our sessions helped tons - cringy at first, but you catch mistakes you miss in real time. The feedback was way better than practicing alone. Just make sure you’re both committed - last-minute cancellations suck when you’re counting on the practice!
This is such an exciting opportunity! Definitely check out your university’s consulting club or LinkedIn groups. Practice partners there usually match your energy and commitment. You’ll nail this interview with solid prep!
mock interviews with random folks online? yeah, good luck with that. most just ghost after the first session or couldn’t care less about giving real feedback. if you’re determined, try finding someone who actually knows what they’re doing instead of just winging it like the rest. and hey, don’t rely solely on peer practice. those real bain interviewers? they’ve got way more polish than your forum pals.
