Quoting billion-dollar PMs’ KPI tradeoffs without sounding like a stats textbook?

The product teardowns here showing actual metric decisions from scaled products are gold. But how do you reference these benchmarks naturally during interviews? I either undersell the data or come off like a walking spreadsheet. Tips for weaving numbers into stories without losing the human angle?

Anchor metrics to user impact. Instead of ‘Improved DAU 15% using Netflix’s content loop model,’ try ‘We prioritized DAU over short-term revenue because, like Spotify’s 2017 playlist overhaul, engaged users drove 3x LTV. Our 15% lift allowed upselling Premium to 12% of that cohort within 90 days.’

Love that you’re diving deep! Maybe pair each stat with a user story? You’ve totally got the chops to nail this :flexed_biceps:

i literally stole the way a uber PM framed their driver retention stats as ‘hours saved ➔ more family time’ in my last interview. added a personal bit about seeing drivers high-five at charging stations. hiring manager teared up. numbers matter but gotta humanize ‘em ya know?
