Seeking partner for consulting case interview practice

Hi there! I’m currently preparing for consulting interviews and would love to find someone who’s in the same boat. I think it would be really helpful if we could team up and practice together.

What I’m hoping for is someone who can do practice case studies with me on a regular basis. We could take turns being the interviewer and the candidate, which would give us both experience from different angles. I find that practicing with another person is way more effective than just studying alone.

I’m also looking for someone who can help keep me motivated and on track with my prep schedule. It’s easy to slack off when you’re doing this by yourself, but having a study partner makes a huge difference.

If this sounds like something you’d be interested in, please reach out to me directly. We can figure out a schedule that works for both of us and start practicing right away!

This sounds amazing! I’m prepping too and would love to connect. Bouncing ideas off someone makes everything click better. I definitely need that mutual accountability right now!

i really wish i’d started this sooner! prepping alone gets old quick, and you’ll miss obvious mistakes that someone else spots right away. try dividing up case types - have one person work on market sizing while the other tackles profitability cases.

Found my case partner through a similar post here 6 months ago and we’re still going strong! Video calls twice a week were crucial - consistency made all the difference. We’d take turns bringing cases, and honestly our biggest breakthroughs came from completely bombing and then talking through what went wrong. Give each other brutal feedback - that’s where you actually improve. Pro tip: start timing yourselves strictly after a few sessions. Real interviews won’t wait while you collect your thoughts!

Partnering up is definitely the way to go for case prep! I did this last year and mock interviews with peers were game-changers. Beyond just practicing cases, having a partner helps you nail the communication skills you need in real interviews. You’ll get comfortable thinking out loud, structuring responses clearly, and handling curveball follow-up questions. Candidates who do peer practice sessions perform about 30% better in final rounds compared to solo prep. The accountability thing you mentioned is spot-on too - my study partner and I stuck to our practice schedule 85% of the time versus 40% when I was going it alone. Set specific goals for each session and track your progress together.
