Non-technical to tech PM: which resources actually helped you speak engineering teams' language?

Coming from a pure consulting background (zero tech background), I’m intimidated by engineering discussions. The community’s resource list is overwhelming - what 2-3 tools/courses gave you credible foundations? Need to go from ‘business stakeholder’ to someone who can debate API architectures. Success stories from fellow ex-consultants particularly welcome!

save your money on courses. shadow eng standups and google everything they say. real learning is getting chewed out for missing dependency risks. after 3 blown sprints, you’ll learn faster than any bootcamp

You got this! The Google PM course on Coursera helped me loads. Engineers appreciate when you ask smart qs :light_bulb:

Essential toolkit: 1) Swagger for API documentation review 2) Basic SQL through Mode Analytics tutorials 3) System Design Primer on GitHub. Built 80% of my technical credibility through targeted learning in these areas. Supplement with lunch-and-learns from senior engineers on your team.
