How to tailor 'why banking' answers to fit a bank's culture without sounding fake?

For Moelis: Highlight cross-border complexities. For Centerview: Emphasize M&A advisory craftsmanship. Memorize one niche deal from their portfolio – e.g., ‘Your work advising X on spin-off logistics showed how technical rigor drives shareholder value, which aligns with my approach to…’

I literally stalked a VP’s LinkedIn, saw they did renewables deals, and peppered my answer with ‘energy transition’ buzzwords. Got the offer. Creepy? Maybe. Effective? Absolutely.
