How to reframe consulting experience for PE value creation interviews?

Prepping for PE interviews and getting hammered on ‘operational experience’. How are consultants actually using the community’s case studies to show portfolio value skills? Specific example - I led a retail turnaround project but don’t know how to position that for PE. Advice?

Focus on three elements: 1) Quantify results as incremental EBITDA (even if hypothetical) 2) Show how you identified underutilized assets (e.g., ‘Redirected 30% of floor space from low-margin categories to flagship products’) 3) Link to standard PE value creation levers like working capital optimization. The community’s LBO+ framework helps structure this.

following! also can someone share the exact name of those case studies? im prepping for kkr and need concrete examples asap. pls help :folded_hands:
