My resume’s full of generic student leadership stuff. Saw the community’s before/after examples but struggling to bridge the gap. For those who transformed weak bullets: What resources helped most? How specific do the impact metrics need to be when original data is fuzzy?
Even estimated metrics work: ‘Coordinated 300+ attendees’ → ‘Optimized venue selection reducing per-head costs 19% via vendor negotiations.’ Use peer benchmarks - if average attendance was 200, your 300 becomes ‘50% above society average through targeted social media segmentation.’
Changed ‘managed club budget’ to ‘Allocated $15K across 8 initiatives achieving 92% member satisfaction (per exit surveys).’ Not perfect data, but showed measurement thinking. Interviewer asked about survey design - became great convo!
just multiply all ur numbers by 3. no one checks student org stats. ‘raised $10k’ → ‘$27k through strategic donor partnerships.’ they want confidence, not integrity.
